What is Rise?
Rise is a nonprofit neurorehabilitation facility specializing in brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, and related neurological conditions.
Where are you located?
Atlanta, Georgia. We’ll share the exact address closer to opening.
Are you a nonprofit?
Yes, Rise is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our fundraising is managed by D1Strong–The Journey Foundation.
Services
What services will you offer?
- Physical, occupational, and speech therapy
- Physiatry (rehabilitation medicine)
- Psychology and neuropsychology
- Adapted fitness and wellness programs
- Seating and mobility clinic
- Pediatric and adolescent care
What conditions do you treat?
We specialize in traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, concussion, and related neurological conditions.
Do you treat children?
Yes. Recommended minimum age is 8, but younger children are considered individually based on their needs and readiness.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
We recommend a physician referral for therapy and psychology services to help with insurance coverage. We have on-site physiatrists who can provide referrals if needed.
Insurance and Payment
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we’ll accept most commercial insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare, and Worker’s Compensation. Insurance acceptance may vary between services.
Do you offer financial assistance?
Yes. We’ll offer financial assistance on a case-by-case basis because we believe everyone deserves access to quality care.
How much do wellness programs cost?
- Gym membership: $50/month
- FES cycling: $60 per session (packages available)
Insurance does NOT cover fitness and wellness programs.

How do I schedule an appointment?
Call 404-596-RISE (7473). We’ll guide you through the process once we open in Fall 2026.
Can I pre-register?
Yes. Contact us to express interest and we’ll keep you informed as we approach opening.
